I am a serial entrepreneur and love to help other start ups and SMEs grow and succeed

I broke out of corporate life in 2001.

With a background of retail category management and buying, with some of the biggest retailers in the country and many years developing and sourcing products from across the world, including China, Hong Kong, Turkey, Taiwan and Japan, I have been involved in developing and growing some great brands.

A director of Bush Radio plc, part the UK's then biggest consumer electronics companies, I had been on secondment to their internet TV ISP and, after years of developing some of the countries best selling electrical products, it suddenly dawned on me that the way business was going to managed and marketed was going to change fast.

With the support and blessings of the board, I left the businesses and started my first company - Box Media Ltd, the creator and  first company focused on what was to become known as 'in box (direct) marketing'.

After a few busy and enjoyable years, I began to miss the shine of the consumer electronics industry and had a chance meeting with some people from Hyundai, on of the biggest companies in the world.  Within a few months, a colleague and I had a license to sell our own Hyundai branded products (as HCE Europe), as well as promote their plasma and LCD TV's.  We managed to get Hyundai to being a top 5 brand in plasma TV's within 2 years.

Sadly, due to falling prices, increased competition and non existing margins, HCE Europe faded away in 2010, however, by then, I had started helping several companies develop and source there own branded products.  I was also helping several friends and family members develop their business idea - I Can Help Your Business was born!

One of the companies I helped was Nelson Events, who had just got the contract to run London's biggest antiques & collectors fair, at Alexandra Palace - over 6000m2 and 500 exhibitors, it was a logistical nightmare, but for several years, we did it with minimal hitches and complaints.  I joined just to help out here and there and suddenly had 40% of the business.  In 2014, we closed Nelson Events and passed the rights to the largest antiques event organiser in the UK.

Across these years, I had become involved with the UK's largest organisation supporting SME's, the Federation of Small Business.  In my six years of membership, I became the chair of its West London branch and vice chair of the Greater London region.  During my tenure, it became apparent that there was a big gap in understanding and knowledge between local councils and their business rate paying resident.  In 2012, along with a fellow FSB colleague, we created London Means Business, a business aimed at delivering local business events at no or little cost to participating London councils.  LMB now organises over 10 events a year.

Disillusioned with the way the FSB supported small businesses and knowing that its member benefits were out of step with the market, in 2014 I co-founded Your Business Community, a support group aimed at 21st century businesses, which is now the fastest growing business support group in the UK.

In that past few years I have been fortunate enough to find a wonderful wife, Hema, and we have been blessed with the most beautiful baby girl, Riya.
